Moofa Production House makes animated films for the specific, high-stakes occasions institutions care about most — a prize being given, an exhibition opening, a donor evening. The studio was built around a simple idea: that animated film, treated with the same intellectual care as the scholarship behind it, can do work no other medium can.
We begin every project the same way: by reading the source deeply and building the film from it. That posture is what our clients return for. Our longest-standing client, the Dan David Foundation — the world's largest history prize — has been a partner since 2022, an ongoing edition that now runs to twenty-seven films across three years. We also work with Yad Vashem, with museums including the L. A. Mayer Museum, with the National Film Board of Canada, and with the event producers who commission films for prize ceremonies and donor evenings.
The studio is led by Daniella Koffler, its director, whose background in art history and European studies sets the studio's posture: we read the paper, we sit with the source, and we work with scholars as co-authors rather than clients to be illustrated for.
Behind every film is a standing team. Editors, animators, illustrators, designers, and motion designers bring each project to the screen, and our composer, Eitan Shefer, scores every film we make — no library music, ever. This is not a flourish; it is a working principle. An essay on why.
The team is deliberate in size. The director is in every script review on every project, and pre-production runs roughly a third of each project's budget, every time. We don't take more work than we can hold to that standard.
